Help Wanted

As the summer approaches and Antoine is getting very busy with real-world obligations, the New York events team is looking to expand. we are looking for members who are interested in helping plan and execute events in ZNY. This position opening is a rather interesting one, as we're looking for team members to build a solid events team, but if the right candidate is available, Antonie is considering stepping down as the primary EC, and be a team member instead. 

As a result we have the following requirements:

Responsibilities:

• Reports to the EC; ATM and DATM as necessary
• Maintain active online presence on TeamSpeak, Discord, email, and network
• Coordinates with divisional and neighboring ARTCC’s for event support and planning purposes
• Acts as the primary liaison between virtual aviation organizations and the ARTCC
• Supervises events by acting as Controller in Charge (CIC)
• Ensure events are appropriately staffed
• Any other duty assigned

Requirements:

• For EC: Must have at least a Senior Student (S3) rating, C1 strongly preferred
• For EC-Team: Must have at least a Student 2 (S2) rating, S3 or C1 strongly preferred.
• Must be an active member of the network in good standing
• Be a member of ZNY or willing to transfer upon selection
• Must be able to work in a team environment
• Must have excellent written and oral communication skills

Desired Skills and Abilities:

• Experience with Photoshop or similar applications
• Knowledge of TMU operations and the ZNY airspace
• Previous ARTCC staff experience
