Virtual New York ARTCC Completes Transition to Virtual New Jersey ARTCC (ZNJ), Unveils Corporate Sponsorships and Pizza Delivery Service

NEWARK, NJ – Marking a historic new chapter in virtual aviation, the Virtual New York ARTCC officially transitions today to become the Virtual New Jersey ARTCC (ZNJ). This significant rebranding reflects recent FAA operational restructuring, notably the transfer of critical airspace responsibilities from N90 TRACON to Philadelphia, as well as embracing our organizational incorporation in New Jersey.

ZNJ has always sought innovative solutions to meet community and financial needs. Today, we're delighted to announce landmark corporate sponsorship agreements, setting a new standard for community-supported aviation:

Sponsored Airport Runways: Each runway at ZNJ's major airports are now sponsored. The Sponsor name should be used before each runway identifier, and the slogan should be read after the control instruction. For example, on runway 4R at JFK, “American 442, wind 060 at 8, Coca Cola Runway 4L, cleared for takeoff. Coca Cola - refresh your flight, every runway experience tastes better with Coke!”

Innovative Pizza Delivery Frequency (123.45 MHz): ZNJ introduces the world's first official Pizza Delivery Frequency! Pilots approaching ZNJ airports at or below 3000 feet AGL can conveniently place pizza orders directly from their cockpits, ensuring hot and fresh deliveries upon arrival at their gates. Controllers will facilitate these pizza orders, workload permitting.
